PRIVACY & RETENTION

Neighborhood information should not stay public forever.

The site keeps public stop details separate from private contact information, home management links, voting eligibility, Passport progress, and photos that are still waiting for review.

How the site protects and removes information

Public stop information

During the public event window, an approved home may show its stop number, public name, selected activities, schedule, scare guidance, live status, approved photos, and either an exact or approximate location chosen by the homeowner. Search engines are asked not to index or archive home detail pages.

Private registration and host access

Host names, email addresses, and phone numbers never appear on public stop pages. A lost management link can be replaced, and the old link will stop working.

Residence voting

Eligibility comes from the HOA property list. Public ballots do not show resident names or household details, vote totals stay hidden until results are published, and a lost code is replaced rather than shown again.

Passport and optional prize contact

Families can use the Halloween Passport without creating an account. Optional prize-drawing contact is stored separately, is not needed to collect stamps, and is removed after the event.

After Halloween

After the published cutoff, the site hides residential details, turns off old access links, and removes contact information and photos according to the HOA event policy.
