Top players
Top family teams
A family team is everyone in one household registered together on My Halloween. A team's points are the combined points of its members. Family teams play for bragging rights; the gift card goes to one individual player.
How to earn points
Equal point totals share a rank. Within that rank, the person who reached the total first appears first. Standings refresh every 15 minutes.
Every point and boost · How ranks and ties work
The leaderboard opens at 5 PM on Halloween and closes at 9 PM. Everything below counts in those hours, with two exceptions: Ghost Hunt and quick game rounds earn full points from when Play opens on October 30, and voting earns full points from 6 AM on Halloween (and part of its points before that). Points earned before 5 PM wait and count when the leaderboard opens.
| Rate a new decorated home | 10 points, or 15 when the site confirms you rated it in person |
|---|---|
| Visit a candy stop | 3 points, plus 3 when your phone's location confirms you are at the home |
| Find a ghost on the walking hunt | 8 points per ghost |
| Find a ghost while playing seated | 2 points per ghost |
| Pumpkin Peek or Candy Match round | 4 points per round |
| Map discovery | 3 points each |
| Walk with Start Walk on | 5 points every 0.2 mile inside Twin Hills |
| Host at your home | Decorating contest 10, handing out candy 8, haunted attraction 8, kids' activity 8, once each |
Vote early, earn a head start
Before Halloween day, your first five home ratings earn half points and your next five earn quarter points. On Halloween, from 6 AM to 9 PM, every new home rating earns full points. Points earned before 5 PM wait and count on the leaderboard at 5 PM.
Early voting is fine and encouraged for anyone who is not chasing the leaderboard; every rating helps the decorating contest the same way. If you want to win the leaderboard, rate most homes on Halloween day.
Each home, ghost, round and discovery counts once, and there is no limit on total points. Very quick or repetitive ratings may not earn points. The board updates every 15 minutes. Hide yourself anytime in My Halloween.
