Rate decorated homes and save favorites
Choose an honest 1 to 10 score, submit it and move to the next home.
Open Rate Homes. Complete the household address step if requested. You can rate from photos without sharing location. Read the display's award: Fall Flavor is autumn decoration, not a spookiness contest.
- Look through the home's photos and details.You can judge the current display in its award.
- Tap a score from 1 through 10.The chosen score is selected.
- Tap Submit rating.Your rating saves and the next home appears.
Use Previous or Next Home to browse. Skip a home you cannot judge fairly. If the page offers a not-enough-to-judge choice, use it when the photos do not support a score. An unfinished selection does not submit a rating. A later submitted score replaces your previous score for that home.
Know the points before submitting#
A first eligible home rating earns up to 10 participation points, plus up to 5 for a confirmed in-person rating. Timing can reduce that amount: under 4 seconds earns 0; 4 to under 10 seconds earns 75%; 10 seconds or more earns the full eligible amount. Early-voting percentages also apply. The points reference shows the exact amounts and dates. Your score still counts under the contest rules even when it earns no participation points.
Save a favorite#
Favorite saves a home privately. Open Your Favorites to review or remove saved homes. Favorites award 0 points and do not count as ratings. My Night is a separate route list.
Rate a nearby home#
A home's public voting sign, its map details or the nearby voting view can open its rating. Allow location only if you want an in-person check. Stay at the home for about 20 seconds so the site can confirm you were there, then submit. Read visit levels and voting weight for how an in-person rating counts.
Community ratings and photo-rubric awards are separate. Results stay sealed until voting closes and results are approved. The older Top 3 ballot is not currently offered. If a People's Choice runoff opens, choose one of the displayed tied homes within its posted time. A runoff ballot earns 0 participation points.
Your submitted score is saved; a favorite remains private.
